Derelict Buildings
Bere Alston Train Station
And Garage
I took all of these images behind a train station situated in Bere Alston. Bere Alston is a small town well out the way of the main towns and city, it's basically a small communal village.. it's quite quaint. Although the train station is STILL IN ACTION.. please take note of that! It isn't as frequently used as main train stations and the trains stop particularly early in the evening. It is also not monitored by a warden and the train station building isn't in use, so any train activity takes place during the journey. Anyways, the lower end of the train station to the RIGHT has been shut down when the railway track to Tavistock was stopped, so the end of the train tracks is out of use and can be walked on.. (not legal!). I do believe getting caught is £1000 fine!
Behind the train station can be accessed further past the train station rather than cutting across the tracks..
I do believe the garage area (P&D Motors) where the images have been taken is kind of in use, and is property of somebody else, so accessing this area is best in the late part of the day (18:00 on-wards) but it's not of bounds nor is there any indication of this. The place is run down with lots of rotting cars and the buildings are pretty rustic.. but there are a series of buildings that are derelict and pretty cool. I'd like to get inside them when I can!
The address to the garage area is Bere Alston, Yelverton, Devon PL20 7ES and this is the Link to Google Maps
To access the main part of train station by turning right, where there is parking facilities and the face of the track.
2 Station RD Bere Alston
However to access the garage area by missing the train tracks follow the white arrow, preferably park before hand and walk down and then take the first right after going underneath the bridge and that pathway leads to the garage part. Although this seems very confusing the place is very interesting and worth while
I didn't focus very much on the derelict buildings because I couldn't get inside.. but it is my mission and the shoot isn't as good as it could've been.. so here's a few of the images..
My favourite edit..
